Authentication
This page explains how to sign in to In Time PRO Web, recover access, complete extra verification when required, and what happens when your session ends.
Overview
You sign in on the Account login screen with your email or username and password, or with a sign-in method your company has enabled, such as Microsoft, Google, Okta, or ADFS.
Your company is identified from the Web address you open. Use the address and credentials your administrator provides.
After you sign in, you are automatically taken to the appropriate Dashboard based on your role.
How to access
- Open the In Time PRO Web address for your organization.
- If you are not signed in, the Account login screen opens.
- Enter your email or username and password, or choose an external sign-in option.
- Optionally select Remember Me.
- Complete captcha, two-factor verification, or password reset if prompted.
Client portal users can also sign in with a one-time password (OTP) from a client login link.
What you can do
- Sign in with email or username and password
- Stay signed in with Remember Me
- Reset a forgotten password
- Confirm your email when activation is required
- Complete two-factor verification when your company requires it
- Sign in with Microsoft, Google, Okta, or ADFS when those options appear
- Sign in to the Client Portal with a 6-digit OTP
- Return to sign-in after a session timeout
Administrators with the right access can sign in as another user from Proxy Login or from Manage Users. This is not part of everyday sign-in.
Step-by-step workflow
Sign in
- Open the In Time PRO Web address.
- Enter your email or username and password.
- Optionally select Remember Me.
- Submit the form.
- If prompted, complete captcha or two-factor verification.
Reset your password
- On the login screen, open Forgot password.
- Enter your email address and submit.
- Open the reset link from your email.
- Enter a new password that meets the rules shown on the screen, then confirm it.
Complete two-factor verification
- After password sign-in, open Send code when prompted.
- Choose a delivery method and send the code.
- On Verify code, enter the code before the 90-second timer ends.
Sign in with a client OTP
- Open the client login link from your organization.
- Enter the 6-digit OTP before the 120-second timer ends.
- If the timer expires, select resend to receive a new OTP.
Expected result
After a successful sign-in, the application opens and you typically land on the Dashboard. If your password must be changed, you are sent to reset password. If two-factor verification is required, you complete that step first.
When OTP verification succeeds, you are signed in. If the link includes a project, you are taken toward Timesheet for that project.
If you are idle long enough, a Session Expired screen may appear with a Login button, or you may be signed out. Select Login to return to the sign-in screen.
